How it started
Sysa started as an Empowerment network for women in 2016. The initial focus was to emphasize on the importance of helping each other achieve more by organizing empowerment events focusing on the Ubuntu philosophy. After years of creating an impact on “sisterhood”, it was time to dive deeper into the challenges and barriers of women, which led to an amazing journey of self-discovery and healing. This path created the opportunity for Sysa to evolve into an organization that wanted to offer sustainable support to: Strengthen Yourself to Succeed Abundantly (SYSA).

About the founder
Chantel Meredith Entingh-Vyent is a young, ambitious and creative Surinamese woman with a huge passion for supporting young women from underprivileged areas in discovering their own talents in order to increase their career opportunities. Discovering who you are and what your life purpose is are central to her purpose and in her role as a teacher and career coach. She is also a government communications expert with more than 10 years of experience in the corporate and public sector creating communication strategies, branding and coordinating awareness campaigns. Her motto is to always be the change you want to see in the world.
Her favorite quote is: “I want to inspire people, I want them to look at me and say, because of you I did not give up”.
